I got a new TV screen/computer monitor -__- Why? I don't really know. We're tight on money, but the family is still spending on things we don't need -_- Yet, Mother loves to scold us children for how we spend money.
Anyway, yeah, it's big. 19-inch screen. And I can watch my local channels now :P Both analog and digital until analog is phased out.
No study group today. Canceled plans, how fun. Mm, but I'll study. I need to. Anthropology is difficult. But I'm tired -_-
Can't wait till I get my grades, register for classes, and throw out needless past homework. I've already started preliminary elimination of homework. I've kept the good stuff, the memorables. Still a lot of papers, but less than before. Can't wait till I put away all this stuff for the summer.
Ok, I'm really tired.

Happy Birthday to Lisa!
So today, the EDCO4 final took place. I walked to class from the light rail with Lisa. In class, I gave her my shirt that says "I *insert pink heart* SHOES" on the front. I told her about the shirt two days ago, and since she loves shoes, I thought it would make sense to let her have the shirt haha. When I wear that shirt, I feel weird :P because I don't care about shoes and people always ask if it's true haha.
Anyway, I spent the whole two hours and fifteen minutes on my final. Lots and lots of writing. My pinky and ring finger hurt. My index finger and thumb got sore too haha. Too much pressure XP
When I left the class, I shook Mrs. J's hand. Then I was going to leave, but then I checked my text messages. I got one from Amy (forty minutes late) telling me to make sure Lisa didn't leave school. So I waited outside the classroom door. People passing by kept staring at me. The few people leaving the class after me stared at me haha. Then I decided to go back in and just say that I was waiting for Lisa and Albert to finish so we could go on the light rail together.
When we finally left the class, I steered us in a different direction toward Amy and Christine (new friend of mine haha, went to Pioneer). They made chocolate chip cookies and brownies for Lisa. They also made a birthday card. Fun stuff.
Then we all went to the Faculty Offices so that I could pick up my Essay 5 from Prof Williams. I had a small chat with her. Talked, smiled, and hugged. I was kinda rushing because my friends and I decided to go eat and celebrate Lisa's birthday.
Before we left for the light rail, we just had to take pictures in front of the little fountain haha. Amy and Lisa were freaking about bees, but we still took the photos. Good stuff.
The light rail: I didn't think we'd find enough seats for the five of us (Lisa, Amy, Christine, Albert, and me) to sit together. But we did! Yay! Lots of chatter. Kindergarten field trip, but they got off the light rail early.
The five of us got off at Ohlone-Chynoweth. Two cars. Lisa drove Albert and me to Buca di Beppo first. Amy and Christine had to go get a coupon haha. Oh, and secretly get Steven Floresca to come as a surprise.
All good fun at the restaurant. Our server was a guy named Christopher. Nice guy. The service was slow, but that's understandable because it was a slow lunch.
All we got were baked ravioli and pepperoni pizza. Didn't want to get so much that we couldn't finish anything haha. And wanted to save money. It totaled about $35, but the coupon took off $10 or so. Oh and there was cake. Strawberry velvet, mmmm.
Mm, what else? Oh, I did not go see the restroom haha. Everyone kept saying we need to see the restrooms haha. Then we started talking about unisex restrooms and other hella random stuff.
Haha too many jokes. I'm gonna remember them all XP
But yeah, today was fun and awesome ^_^ Honestly, I didn't think I would still be friends with Lisa after high school. She used to just be the girl who was in my Econ group with Kaylee, Emerald, Ayana, and Kim. And that other girl, I don't remember her name :O I think it was Kelly. I'm not really sure :x
Hm, who would have thought over a year ago that I would be celebrating Lisa's birthday? haha What luck :) I didn't think I'd still talk to her after high school, seriously. We never really talked much when we did our Econ project.
Anyway, yeah, today was good. Lots of laughs. Good food. Fun pictures.
Ahh, one more final! Monday. And then school's over for real. Yay! Can't wait to do my happy dance haha. And then visit ST on Friday :D Probably focus a little more on the teachers this time. We'll see.
Mm, so this weekend, I'm just gonna study for Anthropology. Study session tomorrow in the MLK. Gonna cram as much information as I can onto a yellow 4x6 index card that Prof Karpf gave us.
Hmm, I think that's all I'm gonna say. I'm tired. I feel like I'm gonna have a food coma now haha. Maybe an ice cream will wake me up :P

Just 2 more finals...
Today was the last day of instruction. Last day of my first year of college. Yay. Even though I still have two more finals (EDCO and Anthro), I'm happy I have no more homework for the next three months haha.
I kinda did a jump-skippy thing today after I got out of EDCO. I'm saving my happy dance until after my Anthro final on Monday :P
I've been trying to figure out my schedule for next semester. 6 classes, 4 days a week. It took me over an hour to arrange it, aiming for sufficient food breaks and such. I have my "ideal" schedule. Hopefully, when I register for classes on June 23rd, the classes that I want will still be open. And I hope I get good teachers. However, either the instructors have not been chosen for the courses yet or Ratemyprofessors.com doesn't have all the instructors on there.
But I realize some professors aren't on the website because the school rotates its professors. Errr, well, the TAs, or Teaching Associates. Like Prof Williams, my Engl 1B prof, is basically being booted out because she finished her two years of being a TA at SJSU.
Hmm, what else to say... Been getting a lot of papers back. Fun stuff. I've actually scored well on some homework, which is surprising. I didn't think I did well on them. Hm.
Mm, so Amy G says I should make a new Facebook, and this time I should just add my closest friends. Hmm. I do miss talking to a few people, but even my closest friends don't really reply anymore because, you know, we kinda just assume that we talk to each other in person enough or something. I dunno. My closest friends should know that they can always call or text me. We don't need Fb, though I haven't seen any of their new photos. Ah, I don't know. I gotta think about it. Honestly, I felt like a stalker on Fb haha because I was always checking out other people's profiles, waiting for replies and stuff *shrug* I do miss reconnecting with elementary school friends :/ Mm, we'll see what I decide. If I do decide to make another Fb, I probably wouldn't add too many people this time. My old Fb had about 190 friends, most of whom never bothered to say anything to me online -_- If I make another, I'll be sure to add people who I know will say something. Yeaah.
I don't like social networks. They will be the bane of our modern existence XP haha, but it really is nice to reconnect with folks once in a while. I dunno, sometimes I think I like reconnecting more than connecting with people hahaha. But you know you can't reconnect unless you connected first :P
Anyway, not much else to say really, now that I'm thinking hahaha. So I'm just gonna nap, catch up on TV shows, or something. Got stuff to do for the next week or so: review/study, take finals, visit ST, visit a friend. And I will start exercising regularly (I hope) and doing productive things over the summer hahaha.
Yeah, ok, later.

Everyone has a right to have her own opinion.
I just wanted to say that^. It's true. Whether it's in the law or not. You can't force someone to stop thinking or believing something. It's in their head, not yours.
By now, we've all pretty much heard about the controversy about Miss California, or Carrie Prejean. She said that she believes marriage is between a man and a woman. And now people are ragging on her. Still. All because Perez Hilton asked a simple question.
The idiocy in this is not that he posed that question. Hilton has the freedom to ask anything he wants. The idiocy is in the fact that he asked a question that basically requires an opinion for the answer and when he heard the opinion, he and a lot of other people freaked out.
People should not ask for opinions if they can't handle different opinions. And calling Ms Prejean a bitch is not handling it. Criticizing her, insulting her = not handling it.
Supporters of same-sex marriage are always saying we should allow the marriages to be legal because it's equal and shows our tolerance and respect for people. But whenever someone (especially someone famous) says she is against gay marriage, the supporters are the first to antagonize her. Why? You're just dragging yourself down to the level of bashers. You become the bashers.
Calling Prop 8 supporters haters and hypocrites, but we're not much better than them if we do this kinda shit.
Reminds me of the saying: Never argue with idiots. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
But apparently, this advice has come a little too late.
But anyway, I think it's despicable that people are bashing Ms Prejean for having her own opinion. Just because she's from "liberal California" doesn't mean she has to present a liberal opinion. Yeah, I don't agree with her opinion, but that doesn't change my opinion of her as a person.
What's my opinion of her as a person? I don't have one. I don't know her. So I wouldn't have an authentic opinion. She's a celebrity. You don't know celebrities unless they're actually your friends in real life. Only then should you be able to make your own judgments. What you see on TV isn't always reality, yeah?
Mm, so I was reading an article about how both pro- and anti-gay groups have been angry-calling the pageant about Miss California. Pro-gay people have been asking, "Why haven't you taken away her title?" Anti-gay people have been wondering, "Why are you distancing yourself from Miss California's words?"
Both sides are taking this too far. Nowhere in the rules does it say a contestant cannot hold a controversial point of view. Nowhere in the rules does it say the pageant must support any point of view. People need to get over themselves.
I find it funny that famous people aren't allowed to have their personal opinions even if they go against the expected "norm," like celebrities from California must support gay marriage. While I am grateful for the straight support from the celebs, they don't have to support anything they don't want to.
If you ask them if they support and they say no, then they said no. Big whoop. You're gonna hate on them now?
Gah, we need to stop stereotyping people and their thoughts. People on all sides of the issue need to calm down, clear their minds, and talk nicely. Compromise is always possible. Reaching it just depends on if anyone can see the possibility. It's either compromise or we all go around torturing and killing each other until the only people alive agree with each other. But that's not a happy ending. Just a lot of blood on our hands.
I don't know. I think we could be more mature than this. I have hella friends who support gay marriage. Some who don't care. And then some who oppose gay marriage. I've had some of them tell me, "Hey, I know you're gay, but I don't support gay marriage. I don't think it's right." And I'll reply, "Yeah? That's cool. You have your opinion, and I have mine. Doesn't mean we can't be friends and talk about it. As long as you don't say stuff like 'gays don't deserve to be married,' we're good."
For the most part, my friends say it's not that they don't think we deserve to get married. It's more like it just doesn't seem right. We deserve something else, just not marriage. Yeah, hearing that kinda hurts, but it's all right. I'm a big kid. I can handle it. People could argue "separate and equal" stuff, but that won't always change a person's mind.
If I had the power to resolve this, what would I do? I don't know. I want everyone to be happy, but life doesn't work that way. Even if everyone could be happy, there's always a chance someone doesn't like the fact that everyone else is happy haha. But anyway, if I could, I would make people see and feel what the other sides see and feel. Experience life in a different way. Experience what others experience. Not like, "Oh, when I call him a fag, he feels hurt." More like the feeling hits you like it hits him. Everyone acts and reacts differently. Not everyone knows what it's like to feel embarrassed, hurt, or brave. At least not in the way that others do.
We can only imagine.
Anyway, after I make everyone experience multiple realities and such, I'd leave them alone and hope we can all agree on something. I wouldn't just zap gay marriage into law. That's too easy. I want people to think more... I don't know the word, but more something. For everyone. If I could, I would just put more empathy into people on all sides of any issue. It's what we all lack. It's why we're so prone to anger and outrage. We only feel what we feel.
Ok, I feel like I'm saying nothing right. I need to talk to someone, to bounce ideas off of someone. But I'm gonna eat and try some homework instead.

Let's encourage lunacy (:
I'm not really sure what I wanna write about today, but I wanna write about something.
Ooh, and I really did spend the past two nights working on my Poli Sci essay :D Usually, when I say I'll work on something over a period of days, I actually only spend half that time doing it at the last minute. So I'm proud of myself. And the 47-page reading wasn't too bad, but I didn't finish it haha. But I finished my essay at midnight last night and submitted. I don't think I analyzed the case well, but it's over. So I'm happy.
I still have my English essay and four EDCO assignments to work on. I can do it. I'm gonna try to do half of my EDCO homework tonight. I'm just waiting for my headache to ease up a little bit before I try.
Updated Important dates:
English Final -- 5/9 (in TWO days)
English Essay 5 -- 5/5 *I actually wrote down the wrong date (it's not 5/12), but it doesn't matter because I got sick.
Last Day of Instruction -- 5/13
Anth Final Review Session -- 5/14
EDCO Final -- 5/15
Anth Final -- 5/18
So I haven't talked about any random topic lately. So self-centered, I know :P haha.
Even though, in my Poli Sci class, we've been reading and discussing legal issues, such as illegal immigration (today) and marijuana legalization. Fun stuff. People have been giving speeches on this stuff in class too. My speech on physician-assisted suicide went better than I thought. 190 out of 200 points. I thought my speech went to fast and stuff, but I guess not. Whew. I pretty much only got docked points for referring to my notes too much. Couldn't help it. I didn't know my speech because I got sick the week that I had planned to use to memorize it.
Anyway, in my English class, we were talking about our in-class essay (prep for the Saturday final) from Tuesday. And I started doing the crossword page notes thing again. I haven't done that in a while haha.
But yeah, here are some of my random thoughts:
So our prompt included a bit (by Karl Palachuk) about Socrates, his being sentenced to death for living an "examined life"/commiting heresy, and our modern-day avoidance of living the "examined life." There was also a second part (by Sherry Turkle) about technology, particularly the Internet, and its influences on children's intrapersonal and interpersonal skills. Apparently, there were both good and bad influences, but I only saw the mention of the bad. The good influence part totally didn't catch my attention -_- but hey, I still got an A- haha.
Aanyway, so children who play RPGs and use chat rooms are more likely to use the Internet as a refuge from the real world and experiment with their identity/personality ("good" influence). However, many do not develop their "authentic selves" ("bad" influence). They're so used to making up stories about their characters and pretending to be someone else online, and so they don't know how to be themselves in real life with real people. That's what Turkle says.
Hmm, yeah, so my thoughts were flowing during class when we were discussing the prompt, but right now, I'm not sure what I should say haha.
Online self vs. "real" self? Good or bad?
I've played MMORPGs, and I don't have too hard of a time interacting with people. When I do have a hard time, it's not because I'm online too much. I'm just too reserved -_- haha. And I think that people can usually distinguish between fantasy and reality. I mean, there are some people who don't realize that people can't die and die again in real life. But for the most part, people should learn this.
Those who say that the Internet has predators believe it is dangerous. The Internet is not dangerous. The people who use it can be. The things people do online can lead to dangerous things. But the Internet itself is not dangerous. You don't die just because you go online. What makes the Internet seem dangerous is when the online world overlaps the real world. Online predators are dangerous when you meet them, not when you talk to them through the screen.
Ah, so Prof Williams told the class that most of us didn't get both the good and the bad in the second part. I think it's because of the "but." Turkle put the good part first and then said "but..." the bad part haha. And I usually think the stuff you say after the "but" is stronger. So the negative stuck to me and the good just flew over my head. I hope I don't do that on the final haha. You, remember to reread your prompts while you're writing just in case you misread something. It will save you :P
Mm, so I didn't say what I was really thinking about that^, but I don't know how to say it -_- haha. So something else.
Let's talk about what defines a person. Hmm. So what defines a person? Everything, nothing, whatever.
I think everything counts. Every little detail, every big detail. You never know which details are real, but even the falsehood of the details tells you something about a person.
But people shouldn't assume they know a person through and through just because of what they observe. Remember: You never know what you don't know. You only know what you might know. Basically, nothing is ever for sure. So maybe you can't really define a person after all. Because who really knows the truth about anyone else? haha Some people don't even know much about themselves. Like me :P
Hmm, I can't focus on any of these topics now -_- This sucks. I really wanted to put down my opinion about these things. Now, it's just gone.
Oh, and sometimes first impressions really suck. If you're the HR person for a company and an applicant walks into the room with torn and dirty clothes on, I don't think you should assume that he's not a good applicant. Yeah, he may be an unorganized, lazy worker. But appearances can't always tell you everything. Yeah, you're supposed to look good for an interview. But hey, maybe he did look good when he left the house, and then something happened to him on the way to the interview. He should have went home and rescheduled the interview? Maybe he was so close to the interview that he decided to take a chance and just go to the interview. Determination, yeah?
I just don't think we should let first impressions ruin things too easily because it might be wrong. At least try to get the facts first.
I don't know why. I just want to give people the benefit of a doubt when I can. I guess that's why people think I'm too nice. I think people are idiots, but I give them the benefit of a doubt. I'm just cool like that hahaha.
Hmm, first final this Saturday. Wonderful. Just wonderful. But hey, only 3 days of school left, 6 class sessions.
I hope I write well on Saturday. Please let it be a comprehensible prompt haha. Relatively simple XP Just enough so that I can make a good connection to it. I'm kinda afraid that I won't understand anything. I usually get some kinda headache around the time of some big essay writing thing. I have a headache now -_- I hope it goes away, and I can think clearly.
Oh, so Prof Williams gave us advice for Saturday haha. One of it is to imagine our classmates in our head, bouncing ideas off of each other. "Kinda like schizophrenia" haha. I think that's kinda like a dissociative identity disorder too haha. But yeah, Prof Williams was just encouraging insanity today haha. It was funny really.
Gosh, I'm gonna miss being in her class. She really does remind me of Mrs Thomas. Haha I'm always happy when I leave a class missing my teacher. That means we connected somehow haha (: We need to connect to our teachers in some way.
Ah, ok. Enough with trying to get my thoughts out. I feel like there's a plug in my brain today ): I have a lot of thoughts piling up, but they're not coming out. Maybe I need to call a brain plumber XP Hopefully, my brain will be unclogged by Saturday. That would be wonderful. Earlier would be awesome too because I've got quite a bit of homework to catch up on. Yay.

Sickness is a great weight-loss program.
NOT -__-
Today, when I came home, I was going to take a nap, but then I started thinking about how sick people usually lose a lot of weight when they're really sick. I didn't think I lost that much (maybe 2 or 3 pounds less), but I decided to weigh myself just to make sure.
I had just eaten, and I only weighed 102.2 lbs. I lost a little over seven pounds in less than a week :(
I've been trying really hard to stay in the healthy weight range. I usually border underweight. But now I am underweight T-T And I'm still not completely better yet. But I just have to get better and eat more.
Mm, and I wish my headache would go away. I'm trying to get my homework started and finished, but it's really difficult to concentrate. I think I'll just work on my Poli Sci speech tonight. Then spend the next two nights working on my Poli Sci final paper. Then spend the rest of the week on my English essay, EDCO journal, EDCO resumes/cover letter, and whatever else my professors decide to throw at me. Aahh. I'm so tired from just thinking about everything I have to cram in just because I'm sick -_-
Just one more week of classes. One more. Get the finals out of the way, and then Albert, Lisa, and I will visit ST :D
Must look forward to something because this next week is going to be torture. Not regular school torture, but sick-and-still-working torture. I usually don't have to deal with that because I only get sick during breaks. But this time, I missed summer break by two weeks. Damn. And I'm going to be a little pissed if I get completely better right after finals end -_- What timing that would be.
Anyway, what else? What else? I should get a haircut. My hair is now too long on top haha. And I feel naked without my favorite baseball cap :( And my headphones mess up the top of my hair because the hair is too long XP haha. So... (headphones - cap) + haircut = less messy hair.
Oh, and I went home on the light rail with Lisa and Amy G. We sat down, and a homeless guy sat down behind us. Then it started to smell really bad where we sat :x I looked at Amy because she was right next to me. And we laughed because the smell was really, really bad. And we knew where the smell was coming from, but we didn't really say anything about it. Amy asked me, "You're thinking what I'm thinking, right?" And I nodded and smiled. Lisa, who was sitting in the seats in front of us, asked us if we smelled something bad, and we just said, "Yeah." That was it. We dealt with it. Then the guy left, and we could breathe better.
Mind you, we weren't laughing at the guy. We were just laughing at the smell because it was really horrible. And I don't know why, but there seemed to be quite a few strange people on the light rail today. There was a guy a little ways down the aisle who was kinda schizophrenic. And I think some lady was just sitting there, staring at us most of the time O_o but you know it could just be my imagination.
Hmm, anyway, this summer, hopefully, Lisa and Amy remember to invite me to ST for a jog around the track haha. They want to exercise. I want to exercise. Exercising with friends would make it easier, yeah? Yeah! Ok.
Mm, I should really get started on my speech stuff. I hope I do well enough. Ahh. So much work. So much stress. I don't think the stress is helping me recuperate >_< Grr.

TV again?
Nah. I mean, I've been watching a little bit of TV in my mom's room because that's where I've been sleeping (It's warm, and my mom wanted to watch over me). We really only have local channels now and SBTN. So I've been watching game shows in the late morning/early afternoon. Fun stuff. I love watching game shows, especially Merv Griffin's Crossword Puzzles and Family Feud haha. Good stuff.
But I've been a little better. So there was less TV yesterday. I don't know about today. I don't think there are game shows on the weekend haha.
Anyway, I started watching Degrassi: The Next Generation online yesterday (finished the first half of season 1 already) after I watched an episode on Channel 20, I think. Watching the show on TV reminded me of how much I always wanted to watch that show.
It came out in 2001. I was in like the 5th or 6th grade then. That would have been good timing. This show could have helped me through junior high and high school. Too bad. I just never had the right channels to watch the show. And when we did get the channel, The N, they were already into like season 6, and I didn't want to do all that catching up. I've done that before, and it is not pretty haha. I obsess. Well, I'm compulsive about watching things in chronological order. I don't know if I've said that before. But yeah. I have to watch everything in the order they come in. I blame anime. Yeah, I think I've said this before :P
Anyway, so I'm gonna get through this last week or so of classes and finals. Then I'm just gonna watch all of DTNG. Though, I might try to finish House MD first and Gossip Girl :P
Hmm, so I don't have to turn in my English essay tomorrow, yay! My professor is totally understanding about me being sick and not able to do work. So I think I can turn it in next week. I'm not sure. I lost a week of work, so you know :P But I still have a speech on Tuesday and another essay due on Thursday -__- Poli Sci. I can't wait to get it over with haha. Hopefully, I can stay up late enough to finish my essays. I haven't been able to stay up late for a while, so I don't know if I can manage it. And I still have my little pieces of homework to do. Grr.
I just need to suck up the rest of my aches and get stuff done. I can do it. I can do it. I just need to get started haha.
I feel like I'm at 75% right now. Why can't I just skip to 100% already? haha It would be so nice if I could feel better again. I miss feeling well haha. And I don't know... I'm considering becoming a vegetarian or something. Because meat is mean XP Every time I've gotten seriously sick (not many times), it was right after I ate meat and got food poisoning or something like that. And it would always get worse. Meat products hate me :(
So yeah, maybe I'll go off meat completely. Or just eat a lot less meat, hmm. I think I would be healthier eating tofu and greens, yeah? haha. Oh, and exercise more :P
It could work. I'll have to think about it some more though because I do like meat haha. I don't know if I could completely cut myself off. But I should do it. For me. For the animals. I'll think about it some more. Ask a few vegetarian friends how they eat enough and stuff. If I think I can handle it, then maybe I'll go veg from now on. We'll see :)
Changes, changes. I need to make a change, yeah? Chyeah! haha.... Hopefully good changes. Less sickness, you know? :P
I hate being sick. I hate that I worry my family. I don't wanna do that to them, no matter how occasional it is. Eat healthy, stay healthy. Fewer worries, yeah? I hope so.
Oh, and do you wanna know what made me think about vegetarianism? I had a dream! haha always a dream, yeah? :P I don't remember what happened, but it had to do with me being sick and becoming a vegetarian and lots of good stuff happening hahaha. So how can I really say no to that? Hmm.
Ok, I'm going to get some homework done today. I will. Later.

I don't get sick often.
But when I do get sick, it hits me hard.
Grr, I wish I was better already. I wish I knew what I had too. It's not the flu. I don't have have a cough or a runny nose. The headache is gone. I'm really really dizzy. My stomach doesn't hurt, but it feels hella funky every time I try to eat and every time I go to bed. My fever is on and off -_- I don't think that's good, but it might be my fault. I keep covering up when I get cold, and that makes my temperature rise.
Wow, this is really difficult to type. My dizziness is making it hard for me to understand what I'm typing haha.
hmm, ive moved up from rice and water to Chunky's soup. I can eat like an eighth of the can's content at one sitting. I have to eat slow too, or else I'll feel like throwing it up.
Ugh. Please let me feel better soon. I have so much homework I haven't been able to do. And they're due this week.
I'm planning on going to a study session today. I hope I can last through it. Please let me last.
I'll probably go home and straight into bed. Right now, my stomach is a little grr about the soup I just ate, but my sense of balance is totally throwing me off. And my grammar and spelling are pissing me off.
I really want a soda right now, or just something bubbly. Sparkling water. Flavored, carbonated water. Mmm...

My mom is terrible at driving...
a sick person T-T
So I was feeling a little better today. I went to D's house to eat. Rice and fish. I couldn't finish it, and I don't think my stomach was ready for it either :( Took a little nap. Then my mom drove me home.
I felt every fricking bump in the road. She didn't even gently go over the speed bumps! She braked hard too. Stop-and-go motion. My poor stomach was not happy with any of that. Ugh.
My fever was gone this morning, but now I think it's coming back :( I was really hoping to feel better too -tears- I want to be better, so that I can finally get started on my homework. Mm, I need to go lie down. I was doing so well. I think I just pushed myself to eat solid food too soon. I just couldn't stand the thought of more rice and water. Even that thought makes me feel nauseous right now.
I think my condition is regressing. Great. Baka -_- Damn, damn, damn.

My mom lost my favorite cap...
in O Connor Hospital on Tuesday :( But the hospital just called and said they found my hat and I can go pick it up haha.
Anyway, I haven't been feeling well. Tummy ache, headache, dizziness, fever, and stuff. So I stayed home from school yesterday, and I'm staying home today as well. Been staying in bed as much as possible. Missing out on lots of stuff in school. Man, the last time I stayed home from school because I was sick was back in kindergarten when I got the chickenpox haha.
So on Tuesday, I went to the family doctor because I had had a stomachache since Sunday. They were surprised that I kept going to school even though I wasn't feeling well (c'mon, two weeks! I've got a speech, essays, and finals). The doctors were afraid that I might have appendicitis or something, so they sent me to the hospital. Two-hour wait! Ahh..
My mom didn't like that there were so many Mexicans in the hospital because of the whole swine flu thing -__- Man, she needs to chill out. Just because they're Mexican doesn't mean they're automatically infected.
Anyway, the hospital labeled me "male" because the receptionist thought I was a guy. Must be the hair. But that was corrected when I went to get an ultrasound of my appendix.
The doctors tested my blood and urine. All normal. They didn't know what was causing my abdominal pain and sent me home, telling me to buy Tylenol. Told me to come back in a week if I didn't get better or if I got worse. Hmm. And it was so frickin cold in the hospital, but I wasn't allowed to cover up because of the fever.
And right now, I'm sooo damn hungry, but all I'm allowed to eat is a mix of rice and water (the Viet version of gruel XP). I've been craving steak for days, but the doctors are afraid meat would affect my stomachache badly. So I have to wait another day.
Grr. I hope I feel better by like tonight or something, so I can eat better-tasting food. I can't even finish the rice and water because it tastes so gross to me now. If I was sick with the flu, then it would taste great. But I don't have the flu (I don't know what I have), so it tastes disgusting.
Ahh.. I have hella homework to catch up on this weekend. I haven't been able to do any homework because I can't focus on anything but the aches. And gah! On Tuesday, in English, I realized I wrote down the wrong due date for my English essay. Instead of being due on May 12th, it's due on May 5th -__- Next Tuesday. That means I gotta get started and finish this weekend. My Poli Sci speech is on the same day. And my Poli Sci paper is due Thursday (need to do it this weekend too!). Grr, so much stuff, and I don't even know if I'll feel well enough to do it all this weekend. This is why I shouldn't put things off because something might happen at the last minute. But I can't focus when I get started early.
Ahh. Just two more weeks. Two more. Please let me finish and do well. And feel well.
I wish I could eat better food. The rice makes me wanna gag -__-
I've also been drinking Pedialyte. Mother keeps calling it "puddalite," so it sounds more like "Budlite." Oh yeah, they're giving me beer to cure whatever I have.
Mm k, there is more I could say, but I don't feel very well, sitting up for so long -_- So I'm gonna go watch TV in bed haha. Though, basic satellite channels doesn't give me much variety. Oh, the consequences of saving money :P

Hypocrisy in moderation
Is such a thing possible? Who knows?
Since I got the car, we've had to buy: registration ($128), seat covers(~$50), a steering wheel cover ($8), four used tires ($160), an air filter ($4), and a quart of Pennzoil ($4). So we've spent about $354 so far on the Cressida, just to make it safer and a bit more presentable. Oh yeah, and we have to pay for insurance (~$330/month for the Cressida, but adding it to the policy allows us to pay $100 less in total now).
Lots of numbers, I know. But there's a point: My mother still finds a reason to complain about how much we're spending on the car. Hmm, a couple hundred on an '88 Cressida that we basically got for free versus $2,000-3,000 for a car that's not always guaranteed to be in such a great condition as the Cressida is.
She keeps saying that we're spending too much money on things that we don't need (e.g. seat covers and tires). The seats are shredded, and the tires were nearly bald. Need I say more.
And pointless spending, really? She's spent plenty of money on stuff she saw on the Shopping Network channels! We don't need any of that crap.
She won't even buy me juice anymore. But that's fine. I can live without juice at home. I need to drink more water anyway.
Ahh, but I'll stop complaining haha.
Other than the stuff that we've bought for the car, we haven't really spent money on anything except for gas. And this car originally got about 22 mpg but now only gets about 12 mpg. But that loss is to be expected of almost any car really.
Haha I'm already kinda starting to think of this car as "my baby" XP Still got a lot of power to it, and hopefully it will keep that power for at least the next couple of months or year.
Just need to add in some stuff, and it will be all good haha. Brother is gonna ask his friends for spare decks, check Craigslist for speakers, and go to a junkyard to find whatever parts need to be replaced (center compartment lid, carjack, lug wrench, some air hose thing). We might fix the A/C, depending on if it's damaged or not. I don't really know.
But what I do know now is how to check the radiator and the oils. The car leaks oil, so yeah.
Overall, I like this car. I really do. Not really because of its aesthetics or anything (I couldn't care less). It's just it's here for me, and I can finally really drive myself, as long as I'm allowed to go out.
Hah, I can't get over that. I can drive myself. Though, I guess I shouldn't drive too much, since it doesn't get that much mileage XP but still, you know, the thought of driving myself is nice.
Ok, I'll try not to make the next post about my baby haha. I need to talk about other stuff :P like how I'm gonna be staying up hella late for the next two weeks for school work. My hard work amazes me hahaha. I'm gonna try to get something done this week before the weekend starts. I just need to feel less tired. I might have to break my energy drink deprivation. Or try that 5-Hour Energy shot (The online reviews seem to be concentrated at both ends of the good/bad spectrum though. I'll just try one or two to see if it works well).
Yeah, ok. Sleeeep. Well, it's still early, but I'm exhausted. I've been really exhausted this weekend, more than usual. Like I can barely stay awake when 8 PM comes around. And I haven't done too much, except drive around SJ to buy stuff. That could be why I'm so tired: low energy output.
Just about 2.5 more school weeks, and I'll be done. With good grades hopefully. And possibly a summer job opportunity if I get off my butt and try.
If not, I'll get off my butt and work on increasing my energy output :P
Not much homework done this weekend haha. My fault. I just need to stop reading for recreation and start doing my homework instead haha.
Ahh, too bad I can't go to bed now. I have to pick the brother up at 10. And I don't think I'd be able to get up in an hour.
Hmm, I don't really have anything to do online anymore, except logging on AIM, checking email, and updating this blog. I don't even know how Facebook and Myspace took up so much of my time. I didn't do much, except send messages and post comments. Ah, well, they're out of my life for now. So no more. I don't even stay on the computer much. I turn it on and leave it alone more now. Eventually, I might just turn it on for homework :O Crazy thought.
Haha no, it's not gonna happen. I turn it on "for homework" now, but I end up not doing it and stare at the screen (or listen/dance to music or leave to nap).
Geez, what am I doing??

I drove the Cressida.
So I went to go get new (used) wheels for the car with D. I got to drive. Pretty awesome. The accelerator is a little stiff, and the car kinda veers to the right, but it's all good. Need to get a realignment. Other stuff, good. Good brakes. The fan works. There's power.
Just need to buy seat covers because the seats are ripped up. Need a steering wheel cover. Someone used black duct tape on the steering wheel, so it's kinda sticky/nasty -_- haha. Also need to get front wheels. The Calderon place on Monterey Rd only had two wheels that fit.
And when Tony has time, he'll clean the car for me :P The outside is clean, but definitely not the inside.
We also need to get the car checked a bit more. Gaskets, coolants, oil, etc. If the car gets an ok, we'll slowly add in A/C and a stereo. If not, that's ok. I just need to get around more easily.
