Third job?

Remember that job that I almost got with Randstad back in December/January? Well, now I've pretty much got it :) I should be starting sometime in the beginning of August.

Still in Mountain View. It will be one mile farther from home than KPI was and definitely farther than KSC was, but it's ok. With the wage I'll be getting, it kinda makes up for the increased cost of fuel. Hours will be 7AM to 3:30PM; so I'm happy about that. Two-year contract, so if I don't screw up in some strange way, I'll be all right for a while. I'll have to deal with not-too-bad morning traffic to Mountain View on 101. Going home will be fairly quick too, I think.

Casual work atmosphere allows me to wear jeans :D Yay! I can wear my button-ups without worrying about overheating. Yay, AC! I will actually look forward to going to work because I won't overheat, I'll be able to listen to my music, and I'm more likely to be around people I could connect to (you know, if I decide to talk to anyone haha).

Now, I just have to submit forms and whatnot and wait about another week and a half to start.

Though, supposedly, some recruiter wants to interview me next week for a data entry job in San Jose, except they haven't contacted me yet with details about anything. All I know is it would probably be much closer to home, and the wage is $15 per hour. But it's all good. I've got a job waiting to start. If I get the job in SJ, and it actually matches the job description, I'll switch for the closer job. But for now, working in Mountain View will be awesome. It could encourage me to finally move out of San Jose.

I've noticed that all of the jobs I've ever had have been located around San Jose but never in it. I suppose I have a somewhat long-term either-or goal: Either get a job in San Jose so it's close to home or continue working outside of San Jose and eventually move out of here. We'll see what happens.

Oh yeah, I think I might try to find a part-time evening or weekend job, just to help bring in a little more money. After next month's rent, I'm gonna be low on funds for a short while, but I need to help out my family. Not sure how I'll pull that off yet. If you hear of any part-time work I could do after 4PM on weekdays or anytime on the weekends, please let me know :)

Btw, Brother got himself into a jail release program. Early release if he works for free (Edit: takes a seven-hour class on how to improve his life situation and get his life together). Basically an alternative to incarceration. So he got out yesterday afternoon, I had dinner with him and Karina yesterday evening, and then he started his full-time job (Edit: class) at the Sheriff's this morning at 8. I dropped him off, and I have to go pick him up now.

It's interesting how life goes sometimes. Sometimes it's predictable, and other times I wonder if life just pretends to be predictable.

Is this the first time I've given up on something?

Tuesday night, I quit my job by email. Not how I wanted to quit. Well, I didn't want to quit. But I couldn't handle my stress; I actually ended up crying at work. I felt so pathetic. But I knew I wasn't going to be happy there, and I knew I would always be stressed if they didn't give me some training because I felt like I wasn't catching up where it was necessary. I made so many mistakes, and the only time I would know would be when they told me I did something wrong. They would tell me what was wrong and kinda tell me how to avoid making that mistake.

I was getting the what-to-do's of my job, but I wasn't necessarily understanding the how's. And definitely not the why's. And there really weren't many explanations for my job; it was less show, more tell. Because I didn't understand why I was doing certain things, I didn't always know when I should do them.

They held me responsible for things that I know I should be responsible for, but they had to understand I was still new to the job and I didn't know where everything was yet. Missing or misplaced hard drives and chassis. I didn't touch those particular parts; they had gone missing from Johnny's time in inventory. I know this because I did the physical inventory count on his last day and noted that those particular items were missing. But since he wasn't there anymore, I was responsible; they told me I had to find out what happened to the parts, but I didn't know how I was supposed to find out. If the people who have worked there for years don't know how to find out (and they had done my job before), how I am to know?

I need some guidance because I had zero experience.

The fact that inventory was only partly organized and all over the place made it difficult for me to track and find parts, especially the motherboards and chassis. Give me time to figure where everything is? Please stop moving the parts around without letting me know. But that happened, and I was held responsible when other people moved our parts without my knowledge. At least write it down on the note cards for me, or even just leave me a note on my desk. Why was I solely holding responsibility for the inventory when anyone else could go into inventory and take what they need? I couldn't always be in the inventory rooms. I had many places to be: my desk, main inventory room, second inventory room, third inventory room, Production (which was very large), back of warehouse, and front office.

Mainly I was just overwhelmed by how many responsibilities I had going in. Receiving, scanning, picking, counting, submitting RMAs, returning RMAs, updating information in the RMA software, emailing manufacturers about RMAs, adjusting sales order items, packaging, tracking things down. Because I was new to all of these responsibilities, I should have been eased into some of them. At the least, there should have been some thorough training and maybe a list of what my priorities should have been. I mean, after all, I was expecting to do assembly work because that's where my strongest skills lie; and there's not that much variety in assembly.

I wish I wasn't complaining about the company, but I just didn't fit in that work environment and the work environment didn't fit me. I would rather quit and use my time to find other work that suits me. So I'm hoping everything will work out. I know I could do the job I had, but only with proper training. Please explain to me why I'm doing something; so in the future, when I run into that reason, I know what to do next.

Blah. I felt so pathetic quitting the job, but I'm weaksauce when it comes to stress. Stressors from work and family built up too much. Can't quit family, so gotta quit the job. Haven't told my family. Hoping I won't have to.

I was offered a temp data entry job with Randstad, the same one from December. I just need to resubmit some forms that they'll email me. Hopefully, this job won't fall through this time. Yeah, still $10 an hour, but it's cool; I don't really drive around much. No overtime at Randstad either, I think; though, I don't think this last job paid me for overtime; either that, or they withheld a lot more of my pay than I expected. Anyway, Randstad job is in Mountain View, a mile and a half farther away from home than my old job in Fremont.

I really miss my job in Fremont. I miss my coworkers the most. They treated me like family; it was nice.

I've been applying to jobs on Craigslist and Snagajob nonstop. C'mon, data entry jobs, get back to me.

I just want a job with some training. Good on-the-job training that prepares me well. I mean, I know if I got a job where my mechanical skills came into use, training would be easier. If I get another office job, training might have to be a little more intensive and structured for me because of the multitasking that's involved.

I'm giving myself about two or so weeks to secure a job before I decide my family needs to know I don't have a job. This is so fun.

Oh yeah, Brother went to jail on Tuesday too. I didn't think it would affect me so much, but that thought affected me the whole day. I wasn't expecting it to have such an impact on me because I feel like it didn't really before. Maybe because I see the improvement he's made in his life and the fact that he's going to be a father to a little girl, I have hope that this will be the last time he seriously messes up.

Ah, I'm just a well of emotion this week.

Crazy End of Spring 2011

The past couple of weeks have been crazy. Except I can't remember that many details. As usual. I'll try to remember as much as I can...

Throughout May: SPSS Research Report for Quantitative Research Methods. Interview project for Qualitative Research Methods. Ten-page paper for Social Change. Team paper for Computer, Ethics, and Society (not done yet; but my team will hopefully turn it in tonight). I had finals last Monday, Thursday, and Friday. Online final for Philosophy, which I completed on Sunday. Brother got a job in Santana Row, yay! I've been applying to jobs online. I suppose I should eventually go directly to stores and apply. Meh.

May 10: School shooting. It actually happened in the Tenth Street Garage. Found out two days later kinda what happened and who was involved. 25-year-old Filipino female and 26-year-old Caucasian male found shot to death in a car on the fifth floor. They were both graduating seniors, majoring in accounting. 54-year-old Filipino male found bleeding from self-inflicted gunshot wound elsewhere in the garage. He was married to the female in the car. He was also the gunman. No other details have really been revealed except for their names and relationships.

May 12: The second Zombie Apocalypse. Four Marine ROTC guys started the game as the original zombies. The game wasn't as exciting as the first one because not that many people participated. Getting ready for finals, you know. Supposedly, more people survived this time.
Shiva and I survived till about 13h20. We were walking along the side of the Event Center with Cathy and Rahul (a zombie, but he promised not to tag us). Then we noticed four zombies walking toward us, still somewhat far away. Panic set in. Shiva and I turned to run away. Sadly, the zombies saw us and started chasing us. Shiva tried to run toward the Health Center, but the door she tried to open was locked. So she was tagged. I ran further, but the wind blew my hat off. So I ran back for it. Tried to get into the Art Building, but a zombie got me ;-; Did not get to chase any humans. All the humans I saw were either too far away or were already about to get tagged by a horde of zombies or something. Sadness.

May 19: Free test materials. I got a small stack of large blue books and scantrons XD I got them with the intention of handing out extras to my classmates who forgot theirs. But I realize I can have my own personal stack without paying for them. Wish I had gotten more when I could though haha.

May 20: My SOCI 116 (Global Society) final. Before that though, I was talking to my friend Evan L for a while, as we stared at and watched incoming freshmen/transfer students go through their Freshmen Orientation. Good talk about being different, being yourself, and having an open mind. After talking to him, I went to Shiva's classroom, where she had finished taking her Sexualities final. Two other students were still there. Prof Rokni (also my Social Change prof) was arguing with one of the other students. He was a 6'4", black male student--he described himself. He accused Rokni of looking through his backpack when he left the room (earlier in the semester) and being prejudiced against him, implying that she was racist. For the final, she had moved him from the back of the room to the front, which is what she often does to her students.
Very heated argument with him accusing her of being "one of those people" who make his education difficult and her repeating "I don't even know who you are. I don't know your name. How can I be prejudiced against you?" I think her point was that she couldn't screw with his grade even if she tried because she didn't recognize him nor did she know his name. And he said he had gotten an A on his midterm, which is proof that she wasn't out to get him or screw with his goal of education. I dunno where this argument was going, but it's the first time any of my profs/teachers have ever been accused of being racist. First time I've ever really seen anyone pull the race card at SJSU for sure.

May 21: The fated Rapture did not happen. I even checked the news to see if New Zealand had been struck by a crazy big earthquake. It had not. I'm so disappointed <_< We're all still alive, yay. But wait, the preacher who predicted the Rapture has maintained that October 21 will definitely be the end of days o_o ...

May 23: ST Graduation. I didn't see it. But I stopped by in the alleyway next to the Event Center to look for Brian P and Kristen P. Ahh, I can't believe they graduated XD Oh, I still see them as freshmen haha. Brian told me their graduating class was small (only 40% of the original class or something). I congratulated them and gave hugs. Promised Kristen we would hang out this summer and catch up. Brian's gonna be going to UC Merced, and Kristen's going to UC Davis. It's crazy, but I gotta start thinking of them as adults now haha XD It was good seeing them though. It's been a looong time.
Oh, I saw Madame as I was walking toward the graduates, but she disappeared into the sea of blue. I didn't really feel like wading through the crowd to find her. I'll make sure to visit her in the next school year.

May 24: Andrew Hill Graduation. Tried to find and even call Nancy T. But apparently, she hadn't arrived yet. Promised to get caught up with her this summer as well.

So I've slept over at Shiva's a couple of times this past week or so (like four times or something). Shiva had a couple of all-nighters. I feel bad. I should have been better at encouraging her to get her work done sooner -_- I have failed you, Shiva.

Oh, she had a Kendo tournament on Sunday at Leigh HS. And a memorhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifial afterward for Hazard Sensei, who pretty much led the way for Kendo here in California and stuff. I met him once, but I didn't actually talk to him. But he sounded like a good person and maybe somewhat silly at times haha. May he rest in peace.

So I just got a Facebook invite, but it's not to an event. It seems that an SJSU student has gone missing since yesterday.
Missing: Marlon Hoang

Seems like quite a bit of bad/sad things keep happening around here.

Brother has had some troubles lately. I'm not sharing many details about this because I'm still confused as to what happened. He recently got a new girlfriend. It's only been a few weeks. Thought she was good for him, but she really wasn't. Lies, arguments, violence, police, etc etc. At least that's what I've heard from Mother. Who knows what else will unfold? I just hope Brother did not put himself or our family in more danger.

In somewhat happier news, Shiva is graduating and leaving me behind. She'll be having four different graduation ceremonies XD Two on Thursday and two on Saturday. I'll be going to all four hopefully haha. And we're gonna celebrate her graduation sometime this weekend as well :) I say "somewhat happier" because Shiva doesn't want to graduate XP She doesn't want to leave San Jose/SJSU. Really, she just doesn't want to leave me >_> hahaha jkjk :P But really, she's leaving next Tuesday. It makes me really sad.. I hope she gets a job around here, so that she'll come back to SJ :3

I know there's a lot of things from this past month that I don't recall right now. I don't really know what else to say. Uhh, I'm happy school is finally over--last day of classes was last Tuesday--, and I don't have to really stress over any assignments for the next few months. Grades will come out in like a week or two, I think. I'm also just trying to keep my cool; I think I'm doing a pretty darn good job at it. I hope I can get a job for this summer. I need work experience and an excuse to not be home.

I also want to hang out with people this summer. So far as I know, I may be going to SoCal again this summer to visit Shiva. I've only told two or three people I'd hang out with them this summer, and I look forward to hanging out with them, especially the ones I haven't seen in a while. Some people that I want to hang out with will not be back in SJ all or most of the summer sadly.

I dunno if I'll be updating my blog more this summer. I might have more free time if I don't get a job. But I'll also not be going out too often if Shiva's not here, I think XD
I'm gonna be sorting through all my stuff in the next week or so. Must get rid of junk. Must organize room. Must clean. Also: Must read. Must rest. Must register for classes.
I already have a tentative class schedule for the Fall, yay. Been eliminating class choices the past three or so weeks. Narrowed down to six. I plan to take five, since I feel like I won't have much to do next semester. Yay for senior status; my registration appointment is June 8 at 7h00, which is exactly twenty-four hours after Advanced Registration opens :) And I dunno if it's an error, but it seems I can sign up for eighteen units during Advanced Registration. No fourteen-unit cap? We'll see what happens when I register.

My tentative Fall 2011 classes:

Monday/Wednesday
1030-1145 JS 136 Family and Community Violence -- Lowell
1200-1315 PHIL 155 Philosophy of Law -- Manning
1330-1445 PHIL 132 Ethical Theory -- Vaidya

Tuesday/Thursday
0900-1015 SOCI 181B Sociology Career Capstone -- Ng
1200-1315 PHYS 123 Physics of Animation -- [Staff]
1330-1445 SOCI 156 Gangs & Mobs -- Dexheimer

The two Philosophy and the two Sociology classes are the four classes I know I want or need to take. My fifth class, if I decide to take a fifth, will probably be PHYS 123.
If I get this schedule, then I'll only have three classes left that I need to take next Spring: two sociology classes and an Area S class. It would leave an extra elective that I can take for fun during my last semester.
I hope this works out.

Anyway, yeah, that's what's on my mind. Other than the want for sleep and a few other things :P

Brother is free...

So Brother is out of jail now. Can you believe five months have passed already since he went in?

Been spending the past three days at Shiva's. Harrison came over Friday night. Pizza and Tekken 5. I was excited when I defeated Shiva in a match XD Finally...

Anyway, this past week has been pretty good. Lots of talking and meaningful exchanges of thoughts between Shiva and me >_> haha. More to come, I hope.

So Saturday night, Mother and D came by campus to pick me up around 21h00. Drove to the Elmwood Facility. Signed in and left. Waited in a McDonald's parking lot for a while. Came back to the jail at 23h00. Went inside, sat, waited, and talked. Mother was impatient. I was making the time pass by talking to D.

At midnight, everyone in the waiting area turned around from their seats to watch the inmates walk out in their everyday clothes. I saw a bunch of strangers waving through the windows. When Brother walked out and got his wrist tag clipped, I was shocked. He had waved through the window, but none of recognized him. As he walked out, wearing a red dress shirt and carrying a plastic bag of books, I barely recognized him. His face and body were rounder than I remember, and his hair was much longer than I'm used to seeing XD haha I laughed. I couldn't stop.

In the car ride home, he explained that he worked with the kitchen crew, so he could eat more than everyone else. He also worked out every day (up to 500 push-ups in an hour).

It's just strange to see him now. I've never seen him this round before XD It's a new sight, and I don't know how long it will stay. Don't know if his clothes will fit him very well either XD

I told him we should take a picture of him to remember this, before he gets a haircut and stuff.

It's just so weird :P

Anyway, I'm happy that he's out of jail. I'm hoping that it will stay that way. We'll see.

But yeah, just wanted to let you know he's out, hopefully making a good change in his life. Heh, maybe he'll get to meet Shiva soon XD

Hm, I'm gonna have to drive him around on Monday and maybe Tuesday, so he can get stuff done. So fun <_<

Other than that, I don't have much else to share. School starts on Wednesday -_- I don't feel ready for it, but oh well... Can't change it.

I hope all is well with you.

"Firework"

by Katy Perry... I'm totally loving this song. I like the music video that goes with it too, though I guess fireworks (or even sparklers) shooting from your chest is kinda strange/scary. What if you catch on fire? :O

Anyway, it has been a relatively good week. Been trying to get some work done early so that this weekend would be relatively free for fun stuff. Four-day weekends, yay!

Except yesterday, I had to stay home ): because my mom wanted me to rest and stuff. I wasn't feeling all that great. So I spent the day trying to watch movies online, but either the movies stopped working or I plan to watch them at a later time with Shiva :) I watched half of "The Book of Eli" before I decided I wanted to watch it with her. Lots of movies I wanna watch with her :P

So instead of that movie, I watched "Across the Universe" with her (I streamed it online, while she watched the movie file that she has on her drive). It was interesting. I thought I would like it more 'cause I've heard so many good things about it, but I just thought it was ok. I like the song covers haha (Yay, Beatles!).

Hmm, been watching a lot of music videos on YouTube. Don't know what else to do at home other than do homework. But my motivation is still steadily dwindling.

Oh, so this morning, I went to another doctor's appointment to talk to him about my blood test, which I had last Friday. Iron deficiency, I think. In viet, he just told my mom and me that I "lack metal" (literal translation). So yeah, it's safe to assume he means I'm low on iron. So now, my mom's gonna make me eat more red meat XP Meh. Apparently, I haven't been eating that much meat in the past couple of months, which probably explains why I have a slight iron deficiency now.

Hm, so now I have to take an iron supplement twice a day for the next two months. Then I have to get my blood tested again to see if my iron gets back to a normal level. Hope so.

So I'm feeling slightly less than average. But I don't think it's the deficiency. Just not feeling happy with my mom. I know she cares, and I don't even care that she says it's my fault I'm unhealthy because it's true. It's the tone of voice that makes me feel sick. How she raises her voice too. Angry and all. She doesn't need to be angry. Blah...

Oh and homework doesn't help either -_-

Anyway, so tonight and tomorrow, I'ma hopefully spend time with Shiva :3 Well, tonight, I might be hanging out with Maggie :) whom I haven't seen since the summerrrr. So yay. If not tonight, then tomorrow afternoon. And if not tonight, apparently, Shiva and I will eat sushi? And tomorrow night, dinner date for my birthday, yaayyy! ^_^ I haven't been on a date like that before haha.

Also need to write a letter to Brother x_x I've been forgetting. My mom had told him that I already sent him a letter when she visited him on Thursday -_- Now, I feel bad because he's gonna be waiting for my letter T-T I'll write him his letter tonight or tomorrow and send it as soon as possible.

I can't believe it's already been more than two months since he's been in jail. So fast. He's got three more months, hmm. Wonder how things will go when he gets out. He's gonna have to pay his debt to the state and stuff. I hope it works out.

What else? I dunno. Stuff. And stuff. I've been thinking and not thinking about things lately haha. Some deep future-thinking and planning. It's crazy to think that I'll be graduating in about one and a half years.

Registration's opening for next semester. I get to sign up on Wednesday at 18h00. I hope all the classes I want will still be open. I really want them. Five classes. Well, four, but I know I can add one later for sure. Four sociology courses, one philosophy. Might switch out a sociology course for a linguistics course. But I'm really trying to get three sociology classes with Shiva haha. We'd see each other sooo often XP

-crosses fingers- I want those classes....

Oh, and damn, I can't believe tuition's gonna go up to $4884 next Fall. It's going up 5% for Spring 2011, and another 10% for Fall 2011. It's friggin' nuts! I'm lucky I get financial aid, but seriously what the hell? I don't know how tuition raises help much. They're just making it harder for students to get into college and stay in college. I wonder how much of a salary cut the bourgeois administrators have to get XP

Bleh. Anyway, four more weeks of classes and a week of finals, yay. Six-ish weeks of winter break. Can't wait for this semester to be over. It's been fun with Shiva and friends. But school has not been that fun. But I guess I've learned a great deal in my Social Theory class :) It's taken over my life haha.

Anyway, that's all for now. Hope all is well with you.

5 months...

So Brother changed his jail sentence from two months inside and eight months outside in a program (40 hrs/wk) to five months inside and no program. So he's getting out January 23.

So he's gonna be locked up for his birthday, my birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. He's basically gone for a whole school semester for me.

I don't know how I feel about this.

But anyway, this means Brother's stuff must be moved back into our garage -_- again. Probably will do so in two or three weekends. Mother is gonna hire Mexicans who stand in front of Home Depot to help move the bed frame and mattress, heavy stuff o_o I offered to ask my friends to help, but she refused. She doesn't want my friends to know about Brother's situation.

I tried to reason with her: I don't have to tell my friends anything about Brother. All I have to say is we need help moving things. Getting help from my friends would be a bit cheaper, I think. My friends are bit more trustworthy than strangers are.

Anyway, I'll try to ask friends anyway. Know any guys who could carry bed frame parts and a mattress down a set of stairs?

Blah, this week has been tiring... Make me want to keep sleeping every morning. Which I could do on Mondays and Wednesdays, I guess. But I won't.

First QTIP meeting of Fall '10 today. Small turnout for a first meeting. But it's understandable, what with the day and time changes. And the student organization fair was today as well.

Wasn't able to check out any of it though ): Mother wanted me to come home early so that I could stay home while she went to buy groceries at the Viet market. But turns out she decided to go out and buy stuff while I was at school. So I got home for no existing reason. I was peeved at first, but then I didn't care. Ate lunch and stuff. Went back to campus. Hung out with Shiva, of course. We went to the Sociology orientation thing. Kinda informative, but I didn't really learn anything I didn't already figure out for myself before >_>

Back to the meeting. Five or six new faces. Woo! Announcements, planned stuff...

BB Open House tomorrow. Dunno if I'm going to that. Maybe. Maybe not. Probably not. I kinda wanna go home after Q&A. I might do that if I'm really tired then.

Bowling tomorrow night. I would like to go, but I can't 'cause it's late. Mother would kill me 'cause it's so early in the semester to be doing stuff on a weeknight. Besides, Shiva won't be there XP

Karaoke this Saturday. I wish to go. I hope I can go.

Movie/cinema the following Thursday. I wish to go to that as well.

Btw, KAT! We never went to karaoke T-T OR LUNCH!

Yeah, nothing too exciting happening lately. Just trying to keep my head up. But it's hard. My head just keeps rolling over, and my brain shuts off. So sad -_- You don't know how many times I've dozed off in class and at home this week so far haha.

OK, that's all. Time for sleeeep.

Second day of Fall 2010

Short entry...

SOCI 101 at 9 with P Rudy. Was ok. Small class, kinda. Lots of reading and writing, woo. Taking this class with Shiva. So I will have some help :D

PHIL 109 with J Giddings. Had her before. She's awesome. I was almost late to class 'cause Prof Rudy let the class out kinda late. The clock in that classroom is late by almost five minutes -_-

Anyway, went to DMH to see if I could add SOCI 116 with C Cox. Chill prof. Full class. At least twelve people wanting to add. Stayed in class until the end when Prof Cox addressed the adds. I'm last on the list. Probably won't get the class. Should email the prof of the philosophy class I want to add too.

If I don't get either class, I'm not gonna care. I feel overwhelmed right now. I couldn't even focus on much today, nor did I yesterday. I feel like this should be a semester that I take off. I need a break. Feel like too many things happening at once, and my body just wants to slow everything down.

I don't get it. Summer ended pretty well. But starting school just doesn't feel right. I'm bothered. Kinda agitated by things. I feel like school is gonna piss me off very soon. I feel like a lot of things are gonna piss me off in the next few months. I just don't get it.

Brother is going back to Elmwood tomorrow morning (getting out in two months, sometime near his birthday). I don't really wanna go along. But I probably will. I dunno. They have moved some of his stuff back into my room. Great. Do I care? Does my opinion even count in this matter? No. I don't even go in my room all that much anymore. Do I even need my fuckin' room? No. Should just make it into a storage room. Like we used to when we first moved into a house.

Why are there so many fuckin' ants on my desk?

Blah.

I was angry when I went home. I didn't want to talk to Mother or Brother. But I tried. It was difficult. Brother didn't make it any easier 'cause he was getting all pissy at me. For what? I don't even know.

Now, I'm just mellowing out. Still not feeling really good. I'm kinda feeling like I wanna go to sleep and not wake up. But I need to wake up. I have homework and readings to get through. Fun.

What is with me today? Blah.

Four days of Shiva....

:)

So I actually did go stay with Shiva and her family down in So Cal for a couple of days. First time I traveled anywhere alone. Greyhound buses. First time my buses have ever been so far behind schedule. Anyway, in So Cal, lots of stuff happened. I'm probably gonna forget some, and Shiva will probably add to or correct what I mention.

Left SJ on Monday night, arrived Tuesday morning. One transfer at LA. Both buses were late -_- First bus, I had to sit next to a little boy, whose head fell onto my shoulder a few times during the night. Couldn't get off the bus at the meal stop because the kid was asleep and I didn't want to wake him up -_- Second bus, went ten feet before the driver told us all (in Spanish) that we needed to switch buses. Then ten minutes on the freeway, he pulled over to the shoulder because the bus was getting too hot. He wanted to figure out how to get cool air into the bus, eventually opening the emergency latches on the top of the buses. Then we were on our way.

Tuesday: Shiva picked me up in Santa Ana at 8h30. Shiva and her mom went to their doctor's appointment. I sat in the lobby reading a tech magazine. Then dropped her mom off at Kohl's. Went to meet her friend Allie (sp?), hung out at Target. Allie stole me from Shiva, leading me throughout the store >_> Interesting person, she was. Bubbly and such. I don't think she likes me much if at all -shrug- but she bought me an Almond Joy, which I realize I never ate <_< glory =" Sanrio.">_> Left the house like two hours later for Shiva's friend's house. Met Rochelle (and later Amber). Cool, interesting people. Cheese pizza and root beer (ew, Shiva, ew. Jk). Rochelle and Shiva tried to force me to get a manicure -_- Five-minute-long struggle. Two against one, so not fair D:

Shiva couldn't decide what to wear XP I chose. Why are you making me make decisions? D:

At 9ish, the four of us left in Rochelle's car for Long Beach. Clubbing at the Dollhouse (Hamburger Mary's). 18+. Ladies' Night (Though, there were still guys there). Hmm. The X's are still faintly there on the back of my hands. 18-20 years old, get X's marked on both hands with a permanent marker. 21+ get wrist bands D: Not fair.

Dancing didn't start for a while. Shiva ran into someone she had classes with in high school. Music was all right. Kinda reminded me of high school dances. Recognized most of the songs, but only liked half the songs. Mood of the music kept changing. The dance floor was much smaller than that of Fuz when it was still in Sunnyvale. However, didn't really bump into any of the other people dancing. There were go-go dancers o__o Did not want to look, but couldn't help it. I found it funny to watch the girls watching the go-go dancers XD Their mouths were open. They looked mesmerized haha.

The funniest part was when Rochelle saw a dollar bill on the floor. Seemed to have fallen from one of the dancers. She picked it up and stuffed it into the dancer's boot. Amber freaked out and told her that she wasn't supposed to stuff it in the boot. "YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO STICK IT IN HER PANTIES!" hahahaha XD

The dancing itself in the club was a bit uhh ehhh >_> <_<>_> Obviously, a lot of freaking. Just extreme stuff, wow o_o Now, I remember why I don't like clubbing much <_<>_> Aaand, sadly, I got really sleepy quickly. The music was putting me to sleep -_- Sad. Shiva kept me awake though haha.

After the dancing, we went to Denny's. This is like a trend for every club-goer, isn't it? Picture-taking-ness. More of that in front of Rochelle's house when Shiva and I were about to head home. Amber spun me 'round @_@ Twice! Dizzy, tired. Almost fell.

Friday: Not the best day :/ But I helped Shiva pack some of her books. She's lending me two Dan Brown books (The Da Vinci Code and Digital Fortress) and gave me a Sudoku book and a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving shirt :D Then we went to hang out with her friend Ashley. Nervous peeing dog. I think it peed on my shoes -_- Off to Juice It Up. Hmm, tasty. I still prefer Jamba Juice XP but Juice It Up was good. Then to a bird shop, Omar's. Played with birds :D So nice. And loud. One of them tried to bite my earring XP Hmm, I probably smelled like bird for a bit. Mm, dog pee and bird, what a great combo of fragrance >_> Went to Ralph's. Shiva freaked out because Keebler's finally imitated Girl Scout's Samoas, calling the cookies Coconut Dreams. Of course, Shiva bought it :P

Driving to places... After eating some wraps and me finishing packing, drove Ashley home. Drove to Shiva's relative's place to pick someone up, who apparently didn't need a ride. Rushed to the bus station in Santa Ana. Greyhound window was closed -_- Shiva called the Greyhound customer service for me to ask about baggage check-in. Then a bus came, but it wasn't mine. Another came, and we thought it was mine. So she left.

I asked the driver if his bus was gonna go to LA. He said the next bus would. The next bus came, I asked, and again the driver said "next one." One more bus, finally, my bus, fifty minutes late. I was starting to think that the other bus drivers had lied to me or misunderstood me and I would be stranded in Santa Ana for the night or at least a few hours. Because the bus was late, I got to the LA station about five minutes before my second bus left (which was twenty minutes late) :O No ID tag for my luggage because the Greyhound window was closed in Santa Ana and I had no time to wait in line at the LA station. Thought the driver wouldn't let me on the bus because of this, but luckily a blank tag was at hand, whew. On the bus, I sat next to a sleeping fellow, who slept with his legs spread -_- Not much space for me. And I think my seat was broken because it did not recline much. So my neck was not happy last night/this morning. But the ride was quick. Got back to SJ at 6h20 (on time).

Excluding bus tickets, I spent less than thirteen dollars in So Cal. In total, I spent about $120 for this whole trip. Why? Because I don't spend money XP haha meals were provided by Shiva's mom. Shiva paid for the smoothie I got from Juice It Up.

Anyway, when I got home from the Greyhound station, I was clearing out my luggage. My hand sanitizer bottle broke D: in the pocket that had my notepad, pencil, and netbook charger. Cleaned that out. Dumped the stuff into a smaller bottle of hand sanitizer after I dumped the stuff from the smaller bottle. The small one was one that Shiva gave me. So fruity. Blueberry blast. So strong @_@ Smells like cough syrup, car freshener, and other weird scents. But now, it's all diluted, yay! Though the cap still holds a lot of that fruity smell @_@

Anyway, going home, I learned that Brother was sentenced to two months in jail. Hmm. It seems he'll be back in jail starting the 27th. 60 days, which is actually 40 days physically in jail. Don't know what we're doing about his residence. Are we paying $1000 for his room, while he doesn't live there? Or are we moving his stuff out and leaving it in our garage again?

Mm, four days until school starts again -_- Summer break was not long enough this time around. In previous years, I would always wish that summer was quicker. But this year, I wish it was longer, slower, more restful.

Mm, so that's all I've got to say, I think.

Seafood Soft Tofu!

I always order that whenever I go to a Korean restaurant :P

Anyway, today, I pretty much chilled on campus with Shiva and Brian. Watched the Hip Hop class finals. Shiva did well :D Didn't realize she had made any mistakes at all haha. And what she did in her performance haha, somewhat unexpected XP But the class cheered haha. So it was all good :)

Recorded all but one of the class performances on Shiva's camera. There were two or three performances that totally impressed me. Especially the last performance by a girl in the class. Hers reminded me of "Save the Last Dance" (looove that movie). Specifically the main character's final performance with the ballet, hip hop, and chair :P

Anyway, after the final, Shiva and I went to the Sociology department so I could get my major form back. Went to the Philosophy department, but advisor hours were over. So either I contact one of the advisors over the summer or I wait till next semester to declare my minor. Doesn't really matter.

The rest of the day was spent mostly in Shiva's dorm. Brian came over. Silly chaos ensued. Body parts went where they shouldn't(?) go haha :P Pictures were taken on my phone and then Brian's T-T Some are suggestive O: And those are on Brian's phone -_- so I can't erase them DX Also, there were flying pigs :P One of them ended up in a picture on my phone haha.

Went to go eat at a Korean restaurant in Japantown with Shiva, Brian, Hong Lee(?), Michelle (Shiva's roomie), Maria (another roomie), and a guy whose name I never got haha. My first time in SJ Japantown. Got mochi. Tasty.

Uhh, there were other things going on throughout the day, I'm sure, but I can't quite recall them.

Oh, Mother and D left early this morning to go to Stockton. So when I went home, I asked about the trip and stuff. D got his first speeding ticket today O: apparently right after Mother warned him about speeding >_>

Umm. I dunno what else to say. Today was fun. I wish it didn't have to end. Going home early feels weird haha. But it makes Mother happy.

Happy enough to let me go to the Palo Alto Kendo Tournament tomorrow. Gotta get up pretty early, so that I can get a ride from Shiva's friend, Di. But yeah, it's gonna be awesome. I get to see Andrew's skills too hehe.

And if you were wondering, Brother is out of jail on bail. Don't know when his court date is.

Mm, I feel kinda lame about this, but I kept looking at my watch today, wondering if it was the hour he would be released and stuff, just wondering stuffs...

I have to say that though today was fun, I still couldn't completely enjoy myself at times. I just kept worrying about Brother and Mother. And it sucked. I couldn't help thinking about certain things. I almost made myself cry. Twice haha.

But anyway, I didn't cry, and my friends had fun. So it's all good :)

Btw, I have random schtuff to give. If you know anyone who would want any of these, let me know:

Basketball hand-pump: I don't know where the extra needles went -_- They disappeared! But yeah, I don't have a basketball anymore.

2 pairs of safety goggles: They're at least 7 years old but rarely used.

Kid-sized Batman hat: 2 years old. Worn once for one of ST's spirit weeks haha.

Large-sized rainbow-studded belt: Bought it a few months ago for $5 without paying attention to the size -_- Silly me, right?

Elmer's 6 tempura paints: Formerly Brother's. Really old, but they never dried out and still mostly full.

5-pack of multipurpose hobby paintbrushes: Opened, but never used.

Black shoe laces: I have two pairs.

5-pack of glow-in-the-dark bracelets.

Magic Rub eraser: Old, but never used. Also have a Staples eraser haha.

3 trackballs for mechanical mouse: Had them since my first desktop.

Surgical marker: I don't know why I have this, but it still works.

Pink sharpie: I've had this since senior year when someone accidentally left it in my bag of mini-sharpies. I never use it, and I don't want it.

"The iPod Book": Tips and such for using the iPod.

"TI- 83 Plus Graphing Calculator Guidebook": How to use all of the functions on a TI-83. Brother got this for me. I don't know why though.

Panasonic electric pencil sharpener: At least 7 years old, but it still works well. For this, I would be asking for $10.

iPod USB cord: I have an extra from my old iPod. I don't need two, so yeah.

10+ pens that I never use.

Yeah, that's all. I'm gonna go to bed early tonight hopefully. So I don't die from exhaustion this weekend before my last final haha.

I don't want to care...

Brother called Mother at around 02h30 this morning. He was arrested again. Didn't know why. Something to do with drugs..

I tried to go to bed, so I wouldn't have to listen to Mother complain about Brother, so she wouldn't talk to me.. I had a difficult time falling asleep. I did eventually after half an hour. I slept for maybe ten minutes before she came into my room. Called Vu Bail Bonds.

After, I tried to go back to sleep. Couldn't. Brother called again, and Mother didn't know how to accept the phone call from the jail. Press "0." Simple, isn't it?

Still couldn't sleep after that because she talks too loud. And she called D too. I ended up staying awake until probably 04h30 or 05h00. Woke up at 06h00 because Mother came in again to get me to call the bail bonds place again. They posted the bail. Brother should be out around 09h00 or 10h00 today.

All Mother could do was worry that Brother wouldn't make it to work on time. I think that should be the least of his worries.

Mm, what an exciting start to the day. About an hour's worth of sleep. When I woke up, I didn't feel tired. I know I'll feel the exhaustion within a few hours. But I'm borrowing D's car to go to campus today. So at least I won't have to worry about falling off my bike or falling asleep on the light rail -shrug-

Hmph, I still didn't finish my Linguistics essay because Brother's phone call kinda disrupted everything. Oh well, I only need another paragraph or two.

And I suppose I should be glad that the phone call came this morning rather than Sunday night/Monday morning. Or else taking my AAS final would be a bitch.

Anyway, today, I'm donating some books to the library and hopefully selling two books to the bookstore. Then if there's time, I need to go to the Sociology department. They should be open, hm. After that, I'm off to watch the Hip Hop class finals.

Ugh.. Headache.. >_< Grr.. I hope today/this weekend won't be completely shitty..

No Gay, Okay?

So last night, Mother and I got to Elmwood around 2130. Told the officer at the front desk that we were there to pick up the brother. He told us that Tony would be released between 0000 and 0100. So Mother and I sat in the waited. Nearly three hours. I was sore from sitting so long. Mother watched TV. Local channel 36. Scrubs, Frasier, some live comedy show. I brought a book. Finished half of it by the time Tony got out at 0015.

On the way home (I drove), Mother spent the time criticizing and complaining either about my driving or my brother's past and future actions, some of which obviously haven't happened yet.

When we were home, I went straight to bed. Tony stayed up to use his laptop. To think about how different it feels to be on the outside again. Two months is a lengthy time, though not so long that he would cry about being home again.

Anyway, this morning, Mother woke me up at 1100 because Tony and I have dentist appointments at 1500. But of course, I was too tired to get up. Getting to bed at 0100 is no fun anymore, especially after I kept myself awake by reading a book XP (of course, you know reading makes me sleepy)

Lots of dreams, which I do not remember :/ So much for trying to remember them.

Anyway, Mother sat down on the floor and talked to me. Most of the conversation is a blur now. I only remember one part though.

I keep my tanto near the head of my air mattress. Mother saw it and laughed. She joked about how if someone broke into the house, I would be able to slash them and save the family. "You should have been born a boy -laughs-" I just smile. Same family joke as always. Then she asks in Vietnamese, "Are you 'gay'?" I didn't answer. I could feel her staring at me, but I was too tired to open my eyes.

"No 'gay,' okay?" No answer. "No 'gay,' okay?" Still no answer from me. I pretended to go back to sleep so she would leave.

She said "gay" in English instead of "pédé" (French), like how she usually does. Anyway, I don't know what to think :/ When she said it, I know she was laughing, smiling, but she was serious too.

The year and nine months that passed starting from the day after I came out to her, she never mentioned anything. She wouldn't acknowledge anything. Then this morning, she says that. I'm not sure how I should feel or if I should say anything at all. I want to say something, but open conversation does not come naturally to me when it's with my mom. I feel like everything I might say to her would make things between us bad again. She could get angry, I would get angry. She already gets mad at stupid things. This topic would cause a major explosion that I don't want to deal with :/

And I don't think I could handle the awkwardness.

Grr. I wish she hadn't said that this morning. I don't know how to take it. Is this her way of ignoring my coming out and everything that makes me gay? (haha) Or is it her strange way of acknowledging yet still denying it? (A last-ditch attempt at denial, I suppose)

Gah, I wish I had someone to talk to.

Anyway, just read about a lady in England who was attacked with bleach. How fucked up is that? Just because she wanted them to be quiet during the movie. Little fuckers. Overreaction much? It makes me worried about people in the world today. Been hearing about the cars being set on fire in San Francisco. Egh. People are idiots. Frustrating.

"The Ugly Truth" and Chili's

Hmm, today I woke up at 0800. Drove to OG around 1100 to buy a philosophy textbook from a dude who goes to SJSU and used to go to OG. Talked a bit about classes and selling books. Then I went home. Watched the first episode of ABDC season 3. I'm catching up! Then I watched National Treasure: The Book of Secrets. Fun stuff.

Later, my mom drove me down to lil Nancy's place. Watched The Ugly Truth with her and her cousin, Anna, from Germany (I learned a bit about Germany). Ate at Chili's for the first time.

So the movie was cool. I didn't really know what it was about. But it turned out to be a pretty funny movie. And as always, Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler are awesome :) Love love love their movies (that I've watched so far). Wish Upon A Star. Knocked Up. 27 Dresses.
300. PS I Love You.

Want to update more, but I have to go pick up my brother. He's finally getting out, even though most of the summer has passed :( Oh well. Let's hope all goes well, yeah?

OMG MJ kicked the bucket!

No, not Michael Jordan. The MJ: Michael Jackson. Heart attack.

Yeah. Everyone's talking about it. Now, I've talked about it. Yay, I've conformed.

So went to visit Tony today. Got to Elmwood at about 1300. Tony was moved from maximum to minimum. Thus, our visit was cancelled. Had to wait in a long line to reschedule. Some guy cut in front of us. Or the people in front of us let him. We were second to go to the window before the guy cut in line. He had been at the window ten minutes earlier. He wanted to fix a mistake in his appointment papers.

Mother was not happy. She tried to tell him and the people in front of us off. They just smiled, laughed (at her), and said, "One minute. It will take just one minute."

Mother proceeded to stereotype the people in front of us in Vietnamese (I stereotyped them in my mind). I tried to calm her down. No point in saying shit since that won't do anything productive.

Mother: Mexicans. They're all the same. They only help each other and screw everyone else who isn't Mexican. I used to tell them off when I was in college because they kept trying to con me. They're always the same, even now. They have no respect for anyone. They just do what they want. You know, they used to bully Vietnamese people. They still do. They're no good. yada yada yada.

Me: Mom, forget it. It's just one person.

I didn't want her to make a scene. The people behind us weren't happy either, but they didn't say anything. Besides, Mother was stereotyping the Mexicans' respect. I stereotyped their gang relations. At the least, I didn't want to go out to our car to find that it had been keyed. Some people are just that vindictive and bitchy when someone bitches them out.

Anyway, I'm sure the people in front of us were laughing at us 'cause we couldn't do anything. They kept looking back, pointing, laughing, and speaking in Spanish. Though I can't understand what they were saying, I could understand their tone and facial expressions. Not always that difficult to read the face of an insulting person.

Anyway, we rescheduled for tomorrow at 1400. Mother said this will probably be the last time we visit him because she doesn't want to deal with people at Elmwood.

Egh, Mother spent the rest of the time and the ride home bitching about Mexicans. And me. She bitched at me because I had tried (and failed) to calm her down. Ugh. I hate confrontations. What the fuck else am I going to do? Start shit?

She always does this. She's mad at one person, and she takes it out on everyone else. That's what she does with stereotyping, and that's what she does with me. Fucking sucks.

Mother. Brother. Only two people I have ever truly been angry with. I'm not even angry at the guy who cut in the line. Well, I was a little mad. Not because he did it, but because he made my mom angry. More trouble for me than for anyone else -_-

But that's all I'm saying about that.

Hmm, so today, I was supposed to go to Eastridge with Claudia. I got to the parking lot at 1600. Called and texted her to find out where she was. I waited in my car because I don't like being in the mall alone, waiting. I'd rather wait alone in my car in the heat.

Close to 1620, I decided to go in to Eastridge and look for her just in case her phone died or something. When I was inside, she finally texted back. She thought we were hanging out tomorrow -__- And she was grounded just before 1600. So the movies were a bust. Oh well, we'll try again next week.

So that was about 1645. I spent the next half hour or so just texting a few people to chill. I couldn't remember who had texting haha. So I chose a few people to text: Ariane, Le, Robert, Monterey. Ariane had to study for her English final. Le didn't reply. Robert had just gotten home from kickboxing. Monterey was home, yay!

But she moved! :O It took a while for me to find her apartment. Lives with her dad now. Cool.

Stayed there for about an hour. Talked. Not a whole lot of conversation haha.

Monterey kept getting texts about MJ's death though :P haha I found out through a text from Maggie around 1500. Anyway, Monterey doesn't care. Neither do I. Yay. Life and death. Nothing surprising.

Though, when I told my mom, she just said, "Good. He died at a good time. If he had survived, he would have a big medical bill that he couldn't afford." Mother, oh, always thinking of the practicality haha.

Anyway, I saw David (Monterey's dad) when he came home. Wow, changed. No more clean-cut. Peppered pony-tail. Smells like pot or something haha :P We talked a little bit. Then I left when they left at 1900.

I could have tried to call someone else to hang out. I was allowed to be out till about 2100. But oh well, I went home.

Told Mother that the movies were sold out, so my friend went home, and I decided to go see Monterey. She was ok with that. Partly because I was home early. And it's Monterey, my childhood friend from when I was in sixth grade haha.

Aside from Le and Kat, Monterey is probably the only other name I may mention so that I may go out. I haven't tested that hypothesis, but I'm pretty sure of it.

Oh, so I knew I've been forgetting to mention something in my blog for the past week or so. Mother wants to move again.

Her reasons... superstition and paranoia. Nothing new. So she's looking for a new place. We'll probably move back into an apartment. Not too many two-bedroom houses around, you know. Like the one we're living in. Very rare.

So if you hear of any two-bedroom places for rent (and accepts Housing), let me know. We're hoping to move north of our current position. Almost all the houses we've lived in have been in SSSJ. We move any further south, we'll probably end up in Morgan Hill or Gilroy.

As long as we're close to a light rail stop, it's all good.

Hmm, I think that's all I wanted to say. I'm not sure. Mm...

County Jail: Maximum Security

Oh yeah, I'm so dangerous.

Mother and I visited Tony today. Appointment at 1400. Had to arrive at least thirty minutes early. Hella crowded. Lots of little kids.

Anyway, we got to talk to Tony at 1350. Through the glass and the phone. Last time he was in jail, Mother talked to him at a table, no window or phone. I found out that the reason for this was last time he was in minimum security. Now, he's in maximum security.

Max security is different in that about sixty inmates share one big bathroom and they only get one hour of outside time. And they wear green. Minimum security inmates wear the horizontal stripes and are allowed to go outside of their bunks.

Anyway, visits are only thirty minutes long, but Mother and I somehow got fifty minutes. Mother spoke to him for forty minutes. She finally relinquished the phone to me after half an hour. During that half hour, I just sat there, stared at the wall, and played with my hands.

When I talked to Tony, he told me the real reason he was in max security. Originally in minimum security, he got into a fight with another inmate. He made sure to point out (in a whisper) that the other guy was Mexican. I don't know why, but ok. And he whispered this part because there was one other inmate, a Mexican, in the "visiting room."

Anyway, Tony proceeded to ask about me and my days. I told him about the three days from last week. He asked why I didn't go out more. I reminded him that I live with Mother. No more was said about that.

Mm, now I have to wait for an envelope that he's gonna send to me soon. Within that envelope, there will be at least three letters. One addressed to me, the second addressed to D, and the last addressed to his friend Linh (the Tangerine salon guy near SJSU). Yeaah.

But perfect timing. When I go to deliver Linh's letter next week, I can go to the MLK Library since I just finished my last borrowed book last night at 0048 haha. Then I can go scope out Beat the Bookstore and Robert's Bookstore. I really need to sell my textbooks. I don't know if I'll know any ST kids going to SJSU next semester.

Haha I keep typing Linh's name as "Link." I've played too much Legend of Zelda in my younger days.

Aaanyway, back to jail... Hmm, what was it that I wanted to say?

Oh yeah, generally, I think parents are willing to declare to the world that they have an unconditional love for their children. Am I wrong to think that? I mean, the parent having unconditional love for the offspring. Something like that.

Well, Mother spent half, maybe all, of her speaking time laying down the facts for Tony. Or maybe giving him an ultimatum, I'm not really sure. Basically, she spent her time making it clear that her love for her son is conditional.

Of course, I'm not gonna tell my mom what to do. But I don't know what to think of that. Even though he's smoked, done drugs, received two DUIs, and done a bunch of other stuff, he does try. He shows regret (however, I sometimes wonder if he truly regrets doing shit or just that he gets caught so often). Anyway, if he doesn't clean up his act, Mother will officially disown him (haha "officially"). She's stuck with him thusfar, but now she's saying no more.

I don't know if I believe her. She said that before, but she still took care of him, took him back into her heart. We'll see what happens. Hopefully, she won't disown him. Maybe she won't. He said he's not allowed to smoke or anything now (you're allowed to smoke in minimum security). And he said he'll stop smoking and doing drugs when he gets out of jail. The drugs part, he told only me. He thinks that Mother thinks that he only sold drugs, but I know she already suspects him of using.

Ah ok, now I've lost steam for updating. I've forgotten the rest of what I was going to say as well.

Oh wait, I get to enroll in my classes next Tuesday at 0940! Yay. I checked the classes I wanted this morning. My 3-unit classes are still pretty open. Hopefully will still be that way when I enroll. However, my 1-unit, PE classes have almost been knocked out completely -__- Beginning Jogging only had seven spots left when I check at 1100 today. Most of everything else is all full and in waitlist mode.

The only classes that I'm pretty sure I could get into now are Beginning Rugby, Beginning Handball, Tai Chi, Beginning Karate, Beginning Social Dance, and Step Training -__- At the least they have ten spots open in each.

The next five days are going to make me nuts T-T I spent half this morning swearing because most of the PE classes I considered were already waitlisting at least twelve people. I might end up waitlisting. But I'm cool with Rugby, Handball, Tai Chi, and Karate. Only real problem I have with some of the classes is the time. Late afternoon. Ugh. What would I do for seven hours? Go home and come back? Maybe.

Mm, I'm not very fond of trying Social Dance, but I have watched Lisa's class last semester. It was interesting, I guess. But I'm not coordinated and I don't really want to dance with a guy haha. Mm.

Step Training sounds interesting, but according to RateMyProfessor.com, the prof for that course is terrible. Everyone who rated her said the same thing. And that's pretty sad. Especially after the first twenty ratings.

Ok, today is kinda depressing -_- jail and school stuff haha. Well, hopefully, I'll be able to sell my textbooks. Need some money back. Need to sell before SJSU stops using the editions I have. Unless you know some people who are going to SJSU next school year and are cool with buying used from me.

Mm. I should go contemplate my textbook situation.

He's in jail again.

Yeah. If you've read my LJ, you know whom I'm talking about. He called my cell at 8 in the morning. And either reception sucks or he mumbled too much. I couldn't understand anything he was saying. Something about a warrant for not taking classes. Possibly four months in jail? I don't know which classes he's supposed to take or why four months. Whatever. Court will clear it all up.

Anyway, you know what always follows such bad news, yeah? Mother, angry. At him, at me. Not cool. I'll deal, but I wish she would lay off me and stop being so paranoid. She thinks someone called the cops on him -__- It wouldn't have mattered anyway. He would have had a bench warrant whether or not someone called the cops on him. But I don't know why anyone would O_o Paranoia, aggravating.

Now, I'm home alone. She's going to the fortune teller person or whatever they're called. Asians and their superstitions, yeah? Bleh. When she comes home, I have to drive her to the eye doctor, and I'll be forced to listen to her asinine complaints about my brother and my driving. Grr..

I need to get out. I don't want to hear any of it. I've already heard it. Many, many times. Parents repeat themselves too much. My parent repeats herself to the wrong person because the targeted person doesn't live with us.

Ugh. Well, we'll see what happens this time, yeah? Mm.
